In the keel were two bomb lugs so they could be mounted on a bomb rack. <br /> Plus I was fortunate to own one of the last Grumman built boats before it's sale to OMC. It was a Grumman GSS-16 Bass Boat. Built like a tank. My ex wife on her first solo trip at the helm misjudged the wind and smacked into a steel pier. The boat pretty much just bounced off with a tiny scratch in the rub rail. Grumman Iron Works indeed. Glad I bought that instead of the Boston Whaler I really wanted she would have totaled that!
